Chinese Tutor Jurong West

Chinese Tutor Jurong WestOne of the most beautiful sights on the planet is Jurong West, and one of the most romantic locations to see on the east coast is the romantic 'Peace and Love' Nature Reserve. We have a great nightlife in Jurong West, including one of the top clubs on the island - The Jekyll - with excellent DJs who also live there. If you love the chilled out lifestyle, with the beach and the green spaces, then I would suggest you head down to the Peace and Love Reserve. One of the many wonderful things about this location is the real Chinese heritage, from the long history of hospitality that has been a tradition in this part of the world for centuries. After all, when the first Chinese immigrants arrived in Macau in the late 18th century, it was often said that they were only here for a short time, but their businesses have endured because of the culture that built them. Many of the Chinese immigrants worked on the docks, their families and friends are flocking to the place in the hopes of finding a better life. Some of these people are still working as a normal job, but many have moved on to a more regular fliers category. These include the dining community that has grown to almost include a whole network of restaurants, bars and cafes. It was these fine dining establishments that led to Jonathan Kamen (known as Toto) opening his first branch of Macau's finest Italian restaurant called Taipan. Then the restaurant scene came to Beaune. With the social and cultural background now, you would never think that the area had any sort of influence in either, although it did help give rise to some of the great performers in the country. For example, the local singer-songwriter Sue Barry is from this area. You may not know who she is, but you would be in fora treat if you were to take a trip down to the Peace and Love Nature Reserve. This is where Barry lives and works, and her music is played at many events all over the world. In fact, Sue works with the Chinese Restaurant Artists Association, which is considered to be one of the best singing groups in China. If you ever have the chance to see this particular group, you will definitely be glad you did. They come out to perform at events all over the country and are always memorable performances. The different scenes of Chinese life have lead to the growth of the Chinese restaurant and cafe industry, and the CPAS is one of the most popular. There are many other interesting places to go, and at Jurong West, you would never know that it is the birthplace of iconic Chinese restaurateurs such as Chow Lan and Chan Kong. Perhaps there is a reason why the Chinese language is used in so many of the different establishments there.

Instructor Spotlight Aoi Fujiyama

Instructor Spotlight Aoi Fujiyama Instructor Spotlight: Aoi Fujiyama Aoi Fujiyama, Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of McClean -West Meet Aoi Fujiyama. She’s celebrating her 17th anniversary with Kumon this year, including 15 years as the Company Center Instructor for Kumon of McClean West near Washington DC. Aoi always had a strong interest in children’s education, so she jumped at the opportunity to become a part of the Kumon family over a decade ago. The thing that she loves about Kumon the most is that the core mission is not solely focused on the academic success of students. She really connects with Kumon’s mission to create sound and capable people through the Kumon Method, thereby contributing to the greater good of society. This personal conviction is truly felt at her center. She doesn’t just focus on the grades or academics, she takes pride in helping her students grow. Because of that, she really appreciates the personal growth that she feels while working with Kumon. Over the past 17 years, Aoi has studied our founder Toru Kumon’s beliefs. In an essence, she’s been a student herself. She’s taken in all of the resources and has operated her Center in a way that she felt Toru Kumon would want her to. Aoi recently had an incredible opportunity to host Mrs. Makii at her Center. She was thrilled for a chance to sit and learn from someone who worked directly with Toru Kumon. “It felt very good to know that Mrs. Makii’s general feeling was that our center is following the method and spirit intended for Kumon,” said Aoi. Aoi was gracious enough to answer a few questions for this month’s Instructor Spotlight. What is it about being an Instructor you enjoy the most? What I enjoy most is the opportunity to see Kumon students grow over time. What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned as a Kumon Instructor? From my time as a Kumon Instructor, I value the lessons I have learned from experiences with students, staff, and others. All of which have contributed to my personal growth. What achievements are you most proud of? I am very proud of my program completers and how they have continued to develop, even after they have left Kumon. It makes me very proud seeing them as happy and mature young adults. I’m also very appreciative of how supported I feel by so manyâ€"those in my team and mentors I have had in Kumon. What is a fun fact about you that people may not know? I am a licensed ski instructor in the U.S., New Zealand, and Japan. I also have my scuba diving license. 3 Countries Leading the Way in Classroom Technology

3 Countries Leading the Way in Classroom Technology Teach Away’s partner schools around the globe are pioneering some of the very latest digital educational resources, leading the way for more effective and engaging learning. We’re taking a look at some examples of innovative technologies currently in use:UAEKeen to raise their education levels to world class standards, the Abu Dhabi government has invested heavily in digital learning. Graduates leave as highly-skilled workers, adaptable to new and evolving technologies and often with knowledge that exceeds employer expectations. Vocational colleges, in particular, acknowledge the growing prevalence of technology in all workplaces and strive to keep closely in line with industry trends. In some facilities, students sign up to specialized  online class forums with video capacity, allowing them to team up on ideas and discuss self-study projects remotely. Students can also connect with their tutors face-to-face at allocated times using this service.KuwaitAn international school in Kuwait City recently created an ‘Educational Technologist’ position to keep their technology implementation relevant with the rapid pace of change in tech and social media. The role of this specialist is to identify and assess emerging software and equipment that can be applied effectively in the classroom. Students here are each allocated their own iPad at the start of the year and carry out the majority of their literacy and numeracy tasks on the devices, as well as completing tests and interactive games. Teachers report that their students respond overwhelmingly to the interactive factor and tend to stay focused for longer.TaiwanTaiwan was one of the first countries in the world to provide free wi-fi access for its entire population, allowing unlimited access to digital resources. This has lead to rapid advancement of educational technology inside and outside the classroom. There are few school bans on mobile devices - in some schools, students are actively encouraged to use their smartphones and any apps they think might help their studies. Middle school and high school students even work on developing their own apps to solve mathematical, scientific and day-to-day problems. There has also been a surge in the popularity of online courses and live online tutoring, supplementing learning beyond the school day.

The Basics of Acid Base Chemistry

The Basics of Acid Base ChemistryThe study of chemistry is one of the essential parts of all curriculum and its significance is quite clear in today's world where a person can find himself lost in the thought of how to make an intelligent decision as far as the application of chemistry is concerned. For every chemical reaction in the human body, there is an acid-base chemistry and most of the reactions go in to the acid-base chemistry with the exception of the basic chemicals which take place in the ammonia cycle. In the world of chemistry, it is always difficult to start learning the basics, especially when the next exam date arrives in the form of O-level exams. But what if you can start on the basic chemistry through online tutorials that will teach you all the basics of the class. Most of the physics students prefer this option for the study, as this will help them to concentrate on the fundamental of the subject rather than the analytical part of the subject. In fact, this method will also help in personalizing your study habits as you will be able to learn faster and at a pace that suits you best. But, before going online, you should know that there are some things that you need to know about acid-base chemistry. This is a branch of chemistry that deals with the substance called acid. Now, if you do not know much about this, it means that the principle of this science is very simple. The basic aspect of the process of chemistry is that any type of substance that undergoes a chemical reaction will in the end produce a gas or vapor. But, if you want to learn more about this, you will have to learn about the different types of acids and the rate at which they break down. These acids include the bases that are formed when alkaline materials undergo chemical reactions. They include the hydroxides and monovalents and there are a number of other bases such as carboxys. In the section of acid-base chemistry, it is very important to know that there are two types of ba ses which are the acid and the neutral form. The acid base is formed by the neutralization of the alkaline by dissolving them in water. The neutral base does not contain any neutralizing elements as they are always negatively charged.Another aspect of acid-base chemistry that you should know is that there are a number of acid compounds which have been created over the last few years. Among these compounds, one of the most common ones is the tri-carbon compound. It is the main component of chlorates. With these aspects of acid-base chemistry, you should know that the point of contact between the acid and the chemical reaction will be the metal which has been the base for the reaction. You can try searching the internet for acid-base chemistry as the information you find here is very interesting.
